(一)让幼儿在日常生活中学习英语
  众所周知,语言是在不断地听、说、模仿、使用中丰富提高的,特别是幼儿的外语学习,如果没有一个连续、经常的语言环境刺激,学过的东西很快就会遗忘。我们与幼儿一起学习、游戏、生活的时间很长,进行英语教育占有得天独厚的优势,可以使幼儿在教师反复说、反复使用中,受到潜移默化的影响,在自然中去掌握,并在日常生活中加以运用。如孩子们早上回园后,我利用英语问好“Good morning ×××”,他们听上几天就学会了,并能模仿回答“Good morning teacher”。排队时,用英语“Orange Team , stand up!”(橘子组,起立)。吃饭时,用英语介绍饭菜,告诉幼儿米饭(rice)、面条(noodles)、鸡蛋(egg)、西红柿(tomato)等名称。游戏时,以“Clap your hands”“Stand up and Sit down”等小游戏热身。又如晨间提问“What’s the day is it today?”“What’s the weather like?”;在课间做做英语手指游戏,等等。幼儿不用刻意去学,就这样在日常生活中听几遍,也就记住了,并学会使用。而这些在专门教学中却要学上很长时间才能掌握。
  (二) 创设情景环境,激发幼儿主动学习英语的兴趣
  幼儿英语学习主要途径来自说和交往,但是良好的物质环境,在其发展中起着促进作用。这里所讲的物质环境主要指教师根据幼儿英语发展水平,有计划、有目的地设置安排一定的情景画面、活动道具和动手材料,在观察、操作、游戏中,引发他们对英语的反映使用能力。
  利用墙面布置一个英语角。墙面布置是幼儿园环境中面积最大,最为醒目的画面。它如同一幅幅大的广告,浓缩着教育的内容和目的,给幼儿以直接的刺激和潜移默化的影响。根据不同的场所设置不同的画面,写上相应的英文句子。给幼儿展示一个英语与生活息息相关的平台。如:在图书角画有一张嘴,上面竖着一个食指,下面写有“Please be quiet!”; 在洗手池上面画上小朋友洗手和小水滴,水滴上写有“Please wash your hands”,等等。幼儿虽然不认识上面的字,却知道是英语,看到时就会引起对英语的反应和使用。画面都在无声的给幼儿一种提示。在有鲜明主题的大墙面上,教师根据目标和幼儿水平进行设计。如:做一个可以插图片的口袋,把正在进行的活动的图片放进去,孩子们平时走过看到,就能反应出老师在英语活动时候的内容。比如,放进“London Bridge”(伦敦桥),孩子们走过常常就唱起了“London Bridge is falling down~~”。这样对平时教学的内容做了复习,发挥了墙面环境的多种教育功能。
  (三)常规教学活动中常使用多种方法进行教学
  (1)视觉辅助教学
  1、实物教学:利用实物的出示引导幼儿学习。如:教小班幼儿学习苹果“Apple”
  这个单词时,教师可以边念“Apple”边出示实物苹果,让幼儿看苹果知道“Apple”就是苹果的意思,然后用《传苹果》或《苹果找朋友》等游戏,通过让幼儿摸、闻、传、和苹果对话等巩固对苹果的发音。
  2、欣赏教学:利用视觉效应引导幼儿学习。主要有:
  用图片进行引导教学。
  用情景表演引导幼儿学习。如:在《Who Is It?》的教学中,可以请两名幼儿事先排练好情景表演,然后表演给其他幼儿看,引起幼儿的学习兴趣从而自主进行学习。
  (2)动作辅助教学
  利用夸张的动作表现或肢体语言引导幼儿理解所要学习的内容。如:小班儿歌《Cry And Laugh》的教学时,教师可以用自己哭和笑的脸部动作引导幼儿理解“Cry” 和“Laugh”各表示的意思,然后用“Yes Or No”的游戏,从让幼儿看教师的动作判断对错,到幼儿自主游戏,以此巩固对所学内容的理解和认识;另外,还可以用《Do As I Tell You》让幼儿听老师说自己做,或者《Say As I Do》让幼儿看老师的动作正确发音,使幼儿进一步掌握。
  (3)绘画辅助教学
  利用幼儿对动作的兴趣,通过绘画让幼儿在画的动作过程中自然地学习。同样象上面的小班儿歌《Cry And Laugh》的教学,除了用动作引导学习以外,还可以请幼儿自己动手画哭和笑的脸部表情,在画的过程中边画边说,从而得到进一步的巩固。
  (四)利用多媒体手段,为幼儿提供更多的语言刺激
  多媒体教育是现代教育中的重要手段,在幼儿英语教学中同样有着其无法替代的作用。因为幼儿园毕竟处于一个有限的空间、时间内,而电教手段,能帮助我们克服时、空的限制,提供给幼儿更多的信息刺激,创造适宜的环境。同时,电教手段的优势在于有影可看,有声可听,悦耳的音乐、生动的画面,具有强烈的感染力,符合幼儿认识规律和思维水平。因此,我们在早晨入园或户外体育活动、室内自由活动时放一些欢快简单的儿童英语歌曲、对话,让幼儿边玩边听,不占用幼儿任何活动时间,幼儿在反复听的过程中,学习了语音语调,建立了语感。磁带中尽管有学过的,也有没学过的,但听的多了,脑子里有了深刻的印象,一旦学到就有似曾相识的感觉,掌握起来相对容易多了。另外,比如利用多媒体手段进行教学中难点的突破,如:在学什么东西在什么上面,什么东西在什么下面,on和under的用法时,教师设计了“小动物捉迷藏”这一活动,利用投影仪,使用复合片和抽拉片的方法,让小动物分别藏在桌上、椅子下、书上、床下等。直观、形象的和可爱的小动物游戏,使幼儿很快区分了on和under的意思和用法。
  利用多媒体教学课件可把幼儿的兴趣吸引到现代尖端技术的辅助中,让幼儿在好奇中主动的接受。另外,利用电视录像选择适合幼儿的材料内容放给幼儿看,在画面与音乐、情景与对话的共同作用下,则提供给幼儿一种身临其境的语言环境,加之录像的可控性,可重复性,对幼儿反复学习、巩固有极大的帮助。
  前苏联教育家苏霍姆林斯基说过:“没有一条寓有诗意的、感情的和审美的清泉就不可能有学生的智力发展”。而“兴趣是最好的老师”,兴趣就是滋养孩子们热情英语的悠悠清泉。培养幼儿正确使用英语交流的能力并不是一朝一夕就能够完成的,它需要我们教师经常有意识、有计划地落实到每一次的教学活动中去,尽可能地创造机会让幼儿多听多说多练。在教学中,要创造机会确保人人参与,尤其要鼓励那些性格内向,缺乏自信和口语能力相对较差的幼儿大胆参与,通过游戏化的活动形式锻炼幼儿的口语交际能力,加深理解,在带来欢乐的同时产生更大的学习热情,使幼儿获得最大限度的口语实践,逐步掌握语言,形成语感。
  “师者,传道、授业、解惑也。”这也许是传统教学观念对教师角色的最好概括。历来,教师与学生之间都是传递与接受的关系,然而随着时代的变迁师生之间不再是单纯的传与受的关系了。教师成了学生的学习伙伴,教师的角色也从传授者转向了设计者、促进者、支持者、管理者,以及反思与研究者。更为重要的是对教师的教学提出了更高的要求:有效地教。
