让步
让步是在表达某个观点时，承认或者暂时放弃自己的观点，接受对方的观点，表示一种让步、妥协的态度。常见的让步连词有although，even though，though，while等。例如：
- Although it's raining, I still want to go out for a walk. （虽然下雨了，但我仍然想出去散步。）
- While I admit he has some flaws, I still think he's a great leader. （虽然我承认他有一些缺点，但我仍然认为他是一个伟大的领袖。）
转折
转折是用来表示与前面的内容有所区别、对立或者转变的关系。转折连词有but，however，yet，still等。例如：
- I wanted to go to the party, but I had too much homework to do. （我想去参加聚会，但是我有太多的家庭作业要做。）
- She's a great athlete. However, she didn't win the race this time. （她是一个伟大的运动员。然而，这次比赛她没有赢。）
